In Benyounes forest, “la foret” as they called their habitants, was the last stage of a long trip for thousands of people coming from Sub-Saharan Africa. Close to the fence that divides Ceuta (Spain) from Morocco, they establish in a variable time, before flank the last obstacle in they way to Europe, looking for a better life. Sometimes running away from wars, politics persecutions, hunger or a precarious economy situation. Lots of times of all of this. In years, the migrants pass across this forest and after some weeks or months they manage to arrive to Ceuta. In finals of 2004, European union start agreements of subcontract Morocco in the control of the Spanish – Moroccan border. The habitants of the forest, started to feel the effects of this agreements: the increase of illegal devolutions, the abuses from the civil police, they install police controls near the forest, they forbid the access to current water, military attacks to the camps in with they made mass arrests and rapes as a war weapon. The border it's close. Systematic violation of human rights, financed with the tax of the democratic European Union citizens. The migrants organize themselves in spaces like this and construct spaces; support nets in Moroccan territory, confronting and resisting this way the European politics. In the forest of Benyounes, they organized themselves from origin communities. In February of 2005, decided between all the community's, record this video, to made visible their situation, in with they report the systematic violation of their human rights, the absolutely abandonment from the NGO's, Associations an Human Rights Institutions, an they demand their citizens condition and they require their rights as human beings.

El bosque de Benyounes, la foret como le llamaban sus habitantes, fué la última etapa de un largo viaje para miles de personas provenientes del Africa subsahariana. Muy cerca de la valla que separa Ceuta de Marruecos se establecian durante un tiempo variable, antes de intentar franquear el último obstáculo en su camino hacia Europa, en busca de una vida mejor.A veces huyendo de guerras, de persecuciones políticas, del hambre o de una precaria situación económica. Y muchas veces de todo ello, Durante años, los migrantes pasaban por este bosque y al cabo de unas semanas o meses conseguian llegar a Ceuta. A finales del 2004, la Unión Europea empieza a ponerse de acuerdo con Marruecos en cuanto a la subcontratación del control de la frontera hispano marroquí. Los habitantes de la foret empiezan a sentir inmediatamente los efectos de este acuerdo: aumentan las devoluciones ilegales y los malos tratos por parte de la guardia civil, se instalan controles policiales en los alrededores del bosque, se les impide el acceso al agua potable, ataques militares al campamento en los que realizan detenciones masivas y violaciones como arma de guerra. La frontera está cerrada. Violaciones sistemáticas de los derechos humanos en el territorio de un estado dictatorial financiadas con los impuestos de los ciudadanos de la democrática Unión Europea. Los migrantes se autorganizan en espacios como este y construyen espacios y redes de apoyo en territorio marroquí, enfrentandose y resistiendo así a las políticas europeas. En el bosque de Benyounes se organizan en base a sus comunidades de orígen. En Febrero de 2005 deciden entre todas las comunidades grabar este video para visibilizar su situación, en el que denuncian la violación sistematica de sus derechos humanos, el absoluto abandono que padecen por parte de ongs, asociaciones e instituciones defensoras de los derechos humanos y en el que reclaman su condición de ciudadanos y exigen sus derechos como seres humanos.
